A brief spate of posts, #1 - The Birds
We have an overhang above our front door, to which a lantern is attached.
Every year, just about, a pair of phoebes builds a nest on the top of the lantern, between it and the ceiling/roof there. And most years, the nest gets blown down or gravity wins (not much space there, you know).
Some years, a predatory bird gets at it. Sometimes an egg will get knocked out or a baby will leave the nest before it is ready to.
This year, though, we seem to have a healthy set of 3 baby phoebes!!
If I can, I will get a picture or two.

we have a mourning dove nest outside our door, but I haven't seen any of the birds around recently.
