Celebrity

I was at a hotel bar tonight. The bartender, who saw me briefly last night, decided that I look like George Lucas.

He told a couple of the patrons that I was.

One of them started asking me industry questions, assuming that I was.

*shakes head* His girlriend didn't believe the bartender - but as much, I gather, because she didn't know who George Lucas is as anything - and the chance of her being next to a famous person randomly was diminishingly small.

I, of course, denied everything. Repeatedly and with scowls at the bartender.

Who comped part of my meal...

A (sort of) funny line

from Mad Maudlin, a Mercedes Lackey/Rosemary Edghill book:

"What? You're going to found Professor Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters?"

"Something like that. Without the funny uniforms and supervillains, I hope."

*shakes head*

No funny uniforms, I will grant, but if you have a group of superpowered people trying to either do good or remain neutral, there will be another group (or powerful individual) with superpowers trying to destroy them or corrupt them.

It's in the plot.

Every time.
