"Young adults face an increased risk of suicidal thoughts and behavior when they first begin taking antidepressants and should be warned about the danger, federal health officials said Wednesday."

Um, guys? This was old news last year. It was old news in the 90's.

We have known since at least the 50's, apparently, that when depression begins to lift a little and there is some hope given that far more often than we would like, the first impulse is to say:

"I am never going to go through that again!" Sometimes, it is followed by actions to ensure that the person never suffers that deeper level of depression again.

There is a reason that anti-depressants should be accompanied by therapy, and surprisingly it is not just to enrich the therapists.
