Diversions from moods and sanity

I know that I have mentioned to some of you the parody that I am (slowly) working on, all about The Adventures of the Famous Science Fiction Author, Tomorrow Pierce and her sidekick, Time Liebe.
Turns out that I now have another story going that seem destined to interfere with the first as the mood for writing them is the same mood...
It is the story of a man who founds a religion based on the philosophy that everything you will ever need can be found in your kitchen cabinets.
L. Ron Cupboard, author of Dinneretics.
Susan countered that the King of the Kitchen Elves would be Elrond Cupboard.
I suppose that listening to Eddie from Ohio (a folk music from Virginia) isn;t helping - or is.

A ex-housemate of mine is fond of telling the story: Apparently I came home late one evening, high on fatigue poisons and low on food. Opened the fridge, stared, closed it. Opened the pantry cabinet, stared, closed it. Opened the other pantry cabinet, stared, closed it. Proceeded to methodically work my way around the kitchen opening cabinets and checking out their contents... dishes, silverware, pots, towels. Opened and closed the stove. Microwave. Dishwasher. Eventually worked my way around to the fridge again and repeated the process.
