That's not what I wanted!!
Mar. 7th, 2007 07:23 pmBecause of a post on Sheroes, I have been researching domestic violence in India. I found an article entitled Domestic Violence as a Bargainig Instrument in Rural India(sic) that looked promising, but there was no abstract. Looking at the site (a journal article collector), I saw on the article's page a link to "Access and download statistics."
Great! Exactly what I wanted to do. I really prefer looking at the numbers myself over reading somebody else's recapitulations of them. So, I clicked.
Low and behold, there the stats were, with a lovely, easy to read graph, including two different color tracks. I looked at the axes for their labels. The X-axis had years on it, going back to the late 90's. The Y-axis had two labels: "# Abstract views" and "#Downloads."
They were the statistics of times accessed and downloaded! Aaaaaaaargh!
