Euphemisms and Propriety

I am in a public library, a state away from where I live.

I needed to use the lavatory, the water closet, the bathroom, the necessary, the washroom - call it what you will...

I asked for directions to it and the kind librarian explained to me that is was through the door marked "Multi-purpose Room" and then take my first right.

I now have a new name for it!

but it isn't the multipurpose room itself, is it? It's simply that they have the bathrooms down through that door... So sure it's a new name to find the location of it, but not its specific name.

It's still a good, new euphemism for bathroom.

If asking for the women's room seems out of place for any reason, I simply ask for the euphemism, people general know exactly what I'm looking for.
