The Incredibles and Pixar
Mar. 22nd, 2005 02:23 pmFrom Pixar's phone system:
"If the clock on your VCR is still blinking 12:00, press 0 and an operator will help you!"
From Gifted Conference Planners to Pixar:
To Whom It Probably Concerns:
I talked briefly with Amy in Brad Bird's office about
having him as a speaker/guest at one of our
conferences, and she recommended that I send a note to
you folks, first.
I am the coordinator of a series of conferences for
highly gifted children and teens, their families, and
the professionals who work with them. Having seen The
Incredibles and having talked with a variety of our
consituent families, the conclusion was very simple:
"He gets us!"
The question then becomes, "How does a poor starving
non-profit lure a high profile celebrity like Brad
Bird to come play with us?"
Please consider the question asked.
Sincerely,
