Frothingly
Jul. 26th, 2005 04:46 pmI was recently accused of having "frothingly claimed" something. Not only that, but I was then told:
1) That is not an ad hominem attack.
2) It is no worse than I said to her.
3) It is certainlynot nearly as bad as other folks said to her.
Now, above and beyond my bemusement at being accused of "frothingly" doing much of anything, and that the word itself is not in even my M-W's 3rd International Unabridged Dictionary (OED, anybody?), would you say that accusing somebody of speaking/writing "rothingly" constitutes an ad hominem attack?
*smiles*
