I was recently reminded of one of my favorite road signs:
"Drinking Water Protection Area"
Here is a picture of the sign: http://www.epa.gov/boston/eco/drinkwater/images/DwaterProtecNH.jpg
Imagined scenarios:
"All right ma'am. Put DOWN the glass and step AWAY from the table..."
or
A lonely glass of water sits on a table. The table is ringed by outward-facing men with Uzis...
*smiles* (Thanks to Karen Frost for the second image!)
Road signs are fun!
Frost Heaves.
End Road Work.
I could have a fine career converting those by adding the little orange and black board over that that said: Home

Date: 2005-04-05 10:07 am (UTC)There's a vendor who does... Arisia, I think, who has a shirt that's all road signs reinterpreted.
My father and I were distressed to see somebody else had stolen our game, but they were funny so it was okay.
(for instance, the sign that actually means "slippery when wet" is "tavern behind" in their canon, but "car on springs" in ours.)
